About The Role

We are delivering a significant programme of Digital Transformation which will impact on every aspect of our organisation. It will deliver better value, quality, and efficiency in all of our services across North Norfolk. 

At the heart of that transformation is the development of a user friendly and engaging web based GIS systems.
 
To enhance the support for this we are looking to appoint a GIS Administrator to join the team developing and maintaining the Council’s public facing and internal GIS systems and infrastructure.

About You

The successful candidate will play a significant role in developing the use of modern facilities to support the service delivery of the whole Council in a variety of innovative ways.  The role will provide both internal and publicly accessible web based GIS systems with up-to-date, accurate mapping and data. Working with a variety of stakeholders preparing data for the systems as well as establishing business processes and relationships to ensure the data is accurate and maintained to the highest standards.

You will be flexible, adaptable and accurate in your work. You will develop your existing skills to support users and maintain data used by the Council.

With an existing understanding and interest in the use of SQL, and associated data management tools, to manage data from a wide variety of sources effectively. You will also be keen to develop your knowledge and skills in this area further.
