About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide technical administrative and project support across the whole Leisure Service. The role is integral to the professional and efficient delivery of all areas of the service, which include the Countryside Service, Leisure Contract, Pier Pavilion Theatre Contract, Markets, Foreshores, Physical Activity Development and Blue Flag Beaches & Beach Safety
 
Duties are varied and will include:
   
Provision of general administrative support across the Leisure and Locality Service.
  • Arranging meetings and events - producing agendas, taking minutes and managing workplans.
  • Dealing with and responding to requests, enquiries, complaints and correspondence from customers, members, businesses, other departments and external agencies, responding where able or escalating where appropriate.
  • Preparing correspondence, records and reports as appropriate and necessary.
  • Administering team processes and providing support to officers to ensure the effective delivery of the work of the team.
  • Promoting and supporting the delivery of events.
  • Project support.
 

About You

The successful candidate will be very well organised and self-motivated, as well as being able to prioritise and manage a varied and demanding workload. You'll be IT literate and able to use a variety of basic programmes and systems. 
 
You will possess good communication skills as the role will involve providing advice and guidance to a range of customers and stakeholders. It is essential that you are tactful, diplomatic and personable, and able to build good relationships with colleagues and partners.
