About The Role

We are looking for two Countryside Rangers to join our small team who ensure the implementation of practical work at the Council’s woodlands and informal open spaces across North Norfolk, maintaining them as high quality, welcoming and accessible public spaces. The team are responsible for the day-to-day management of these sites for community recreation, nature conservation and forestry.

We are seeking individuals who can contribute to all areas of the service, including, but not limited to:

  • practical woodland and conservation management
  • providing guidance and assistance to visitors
  • looking after volunteers
  • helping to deliver school, group, and family events
 
 

About You

For this role you will have previous industry experience and you will have be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of practical experience, in addition to knowledge of woodland management. You'll have a polite disposition, and the ability to problem solve and work on your own initiative.

As this role involves working with the public, you will be able to demonstrate customer service skills and have experience of working with volunteers.

A flexible approach to working hours and access to transport is essential.
