About The Role

North Norfolk is an attractive rural District with a beautiful coastline, fantastic landscapes and big skies within easy reach of the fine City of Norwich.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Housing Adaptations Team. Working as a Housing Adaptations Officer you will work alongside a small team made up of assessing officers, technical officers and an Occupational Therapist. The purpose of the role is to assess applicants requesting adaptations to determine whether adaptations are necessary and appropriate. The role also includes working collaboratively with other services, advising people of potential adaptations and equipment options that are available to them.

The aim of the service is to administer the Councils Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) programme in the most efficient and cost effective way to enable individuals to remain safely living within their own home, increase independence and to reduce the need for formal care where possible.

We respect and value differences in our district and across our workforce, and we want everyone to feel included and able to play their part in making North Norfolk a great place to live, learn, work and visit. Our coast and environment are extremely important to us.
