About The Role

North Norfolk is known for its wonderful Blue Flag beaches, picturesque market towns and diverse seaside communities.  It offers a wide range of outdoor opportunities including bird watching, cycling, coastal walks and exploring the Deep History Coast.

But having a spectacular natural environment and an enviable quality of life doesn’t make the residents of North Norfolk District complacent about the environment and climate challenges that we all face. Our innovative approaches to coastal change have put us at the forefront of adaptation planning and our climate emergency declaration and subsequent action plan demonstrates our commitment to climate change mitigation. We are therefore recruiting into a team to assist in fulfilling the Council’s ambitious environmental aims and objectives.

As our Climate Change and Decarbonisation Data Officer you will play an instrumental part in collecting data and providing information to help deliver projects that shape the built environment, help influence patterns of behaviour and work creatively to help North Norfolk District Council achieve net zero across its estate by 2030 and the wider district by 2045.
